So, Exactly What is the WOBG?

It's a small but organized effort from
​a select few who passionately support
the proper skills training & character development of the youth players in
​the West Orange Baseball Community.
Initially conceived in the Summer of 2015, a core group of Windermere Little League Single-A All-Stars were loosely organized into a team for the purpose of remaining competitively active over the summer.  With the help of a few committed parents, this group of boys began their journey into the world of Travel Baseball.

Despite some bumps, battles and bruises along the way, the intent and vision for the original West Orange Baseball Group effort has survived and evolved into an even more focused mission. This evolution, while painful at times, has provided the inspiration needed for a more positive and stronger return to the original vision...

Proper parental support and promotion of quality training, coaching and character development of youth baseball players in the West Orange Baseball Community.
 
With that said, our refocused efforts and vision will now be guided by one very simple fact... Baseball is a challenging game that is meant to be fun. Without fun, passion, hard work and character building, the development of a true team for elite youth competition just isn't possible. Justifying poor parental behavior or selfish decisions, on or off the field, as the "competitive realities of travel baseball" will no longer be the path taken.

Absolutely no doubt about it... winning baseball is certainly fun but there won't be any of that if the players aren't having fun playing the game and playing with teammates they care about and support. Our future efforts will be focused on supporting those coaches and parents who share a same or like-minded philosophy.
